Hulu took April Fools 2017 by storm with the release of an entirely new service focused on millennial attention spans. This new service, titled Hu, was all about short form content, or micro content as we called it. Acting as creative director, I was tasked to create an entire identity for a fake service, matching the brass and in your face attention getting visuals millennials are drawn to click on. This execution spanned on-channel, off-channel, a Tumblr takeover, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram takeover including stories and posts, Snapchat, and more.
The media world picked it up immediately and was the talk of April 1st across multiple national news outlets including Good Morning America, Good Day LA, and more.
In total we created over 200 pieces of content including 95 microsodes (10-second episode cut downs) across 8 TV shows.
